THE VISION COMMUNITY
A VISION Community consists basically of data providers (organizations or companies who own data that they wish to share) and data consumers.
Provider users can upload information on the VISION server, to make it available to the VISION community. They make use of the administrative pages to decide how they wish to share the data and they can create and support new consumer users. Provider users have to belong to at least one certified VISION partner.
Consumer users can access the shared information according to the rules, designed by the provider users. They can be members of any VISION community partner, or members of a third party institution whom VISION members agree to invite. This is not limited to country; the VISION community is worldwide and growing constantly.
Partner institutions are parties that pay for the VISION service and own an administrative power. A partner user can be a provider user as well as a regular consumer user.
